i am running away on streets like desert
feeling the weight of my steps
the vivid memory of my footprints
is the despair of who dared to change
yet there is the moon in the sky
and she follows me though i try to hide
the more i run fast the faster she is close
i scream “leave me to die, leave me alone
let me rape my soul the way i chose”
but she is there…
so i stop in the bank of a river
and she stops too but moving so nearer
that i see her standing on the water
in front of me, brighter and colder
oh she is making me scared
i hold my breath then take a step behind
before jumping with my hands up-tight
and i fall over her and I thrash
stabbing her rays
i feel no more my breath
but i really want her death
the water fills my breath
but i really want to feel her death
…and i just left her to decay
wanted no betraying light
wanted the dark to take me away
wanted it to be an endless night
and i thought i heard a noise
but it was just my heart cracking
